for the book and you know i was picking your brain you know i never knew the uh the depth and the scope

of the mafia's involvement in hollywood i mean it was not much you know surprises me anymore i mean i i you know, the Bugsy Siegel story is how we used to hobnob with, with Hollywood big shots and all up. But I didn't know that they actually ran the industry and still do. Oh, yeah, no, that's amazing.

And, you know, you're the expert in that area, and I think we should talk about it.

Certainly, if I didn't have this information, I think most of you did not either, because

I'm pretty up on my mob lore.

Well, the interesting thing, you know, when they started introducing people, the only real

actor at that time that actually had mob connections was

George Raft. And the song and dance band, James Cagney, got the monocle of being a gangster,
