All right, guys, welcome back to the Forgotten Jesus podcast.

My name's Andrew Bolton here again with Pastor Robbie Galli and Candy Galli.

Okay, pastor, on the last episode, you left us with a massive cliffing.

You said there was a pastor who learned something from you in Israel

that in over the past 15 years of his ministry,

this was the most insightful thing that he had heard.

And I'm on the edge of my seat wondering,

what was that?

Yes, okay.

What I taught him, and this is part of our threefold,

the Trinity of the removal of God's presence, power among his people.

This is the three things that really set the stage for the coming of Jesus.

And I think we need to know these things in order to really feel the weight of what happens

when John the Baptist says,

I'm preparing the way of the Lord, that prophetic voice

that's been silent for 400 years. Okay. So the first thing, if you remember, God does,

after the people reject him and are disobedient to him, prior to the Babylonian captivity,

which happens in 586 BC, God does something first, kind of a shot across the bow

to the people whom he loves. What is the first thing that happens? His presence leaves.

His presence leaves. So God's glory departs in Ezekiel chapter 10, verse 18. The second thing to go,

which is as impactful as the first, was God's place of residing is gone.

The place where God resided leaves.
