Summary
Harmony Cobel is headed home, and we're going with her. She's taking a long run up the coast to the little harbor town of Salt's Neck. It's where Harmony grew up and Lumon used to own a huge Ether Mill.
The Ether Mill is long gone. With it went most of the residents. The ones who remain are dirt poor and addicted to ether. Celestine "Sissy" Cobel lives out on the point all alone in that very solitary house. She's the only one in town to still keep to the old ways...she lives by 'The Nine' and a belief in Kier.
Sissy is Harmony Cobel's aunt. Charlotte, Harmony's mother was Sissy's sister. Harmony is home to confront Sissy about her mother's death, but she's also looking for something. Did Sissy sell it to the poor?
