Hello everybody, welcome to the podcast.

I am Hoel Sarate, I am your host, and this time I am having a conversation in French with my good friend Kathy Bove.

And this is an opportunity for us, for you and for me to learn French.

And it is also an opportunity for me to show you how I learn other languages myself.

This is exactly what I do when I am learning a language with a native speaker.

This is what I do when I am taking an online lesson in another language.

And it is an opportunity for you to see how I myself navigate learning another language in a communicative context and how I handle

myself during that interaction.

I know a lot about how we learn languages, so I use many different strategies techniques and

interventions to make my experience better and I want to share that with all of

you and I want to share the experience of learning a language in context and how much fun it can actually be.

One of my goals is to also help you become a better language learner because if you understand, if you know how to learn a language or even how not to learn a language, then you will be in control of your own learning progress and you'll have

a more effective and efficient experience.

You'll have better results and you'll enjoy the experience much more.

In the future, once I have a few sessions in other languages,

I plan to use those to be able to talk to you about how I am using the techniques and

approaches that I use and also I will analyze these conversations in detail so that

you can understand how language develops in our subconscious.
