| 0:42.0 | This was a joyful time in Israel's history as they were finally unified under a leader who loved the Lord. |
| 0:50.0 | Though we don't know for certain when these three Psalms were written, they celebrate both the blessings of the Lord and his faithfulness despite sin. |
| 0:59.0 | They could easily be placed in various times within history, but we clearly see how God has kept all of his promises to this point in the life of Israel and we will continue to see them fulfilled throughout David's reign. |

| 1:21.0 | Psalm 133 was written by David and is known as a Psalm of Ascent, which means that those who made the pilgrimage up to Jerusalem often sang this on their journey. |
| 1:34.0 | David wrote this Psalm in a way that trusts his readers have a contextual understanding of the priesthood and even geography. |
| 1:44.0 | And, lest we think that doesn't include us, it actually does my friends. |

| 1:53.0 | When David mentions oil and air in, we have a frame of reference just like the Israelites. |
| 2:00.0 | So let's apply what we know to this Psalm and see how it points our hearts to Christ. |
| 2:07.0 | Many scholars believe David likely wrote this Psalm shortly after he became king over all of Israel and conquered Jerusalem. |
| 2:16.0 | We can see in the first verse the likelihood of this when he speaks of how good and pleasant it is for brothers to live in harmony. |
| 2:25.0 | Saul's reign had been marked by anything but harmony. |
| 2:31.0 | But as Israel begins a new era under David's reign, unity and harmony are a hopeful beginning. |
