0:47.8	As I've already mentioned, Ezra and Nehemiah are one book in the Hebrew Bible.
0:53.3	Most scholars attribute the authorship of Nehemiah to Ezra.
0:58.3	Ezra and Nehemiah were contemporaries and worked together to guide God's people as
1:03.8	they resettled in the Promised Land.
1:06.3	Based on the timestamps of Ezra and Nehemiah, the events of Nehemiah happened 13 years
1:13.3	after Ezra returned to Jerusalem.
1:16.3	As we walk through this historical narrative in the post-exilic period, we will see three
1:21.9	overarching themes.
1:23.3	First, we will learn that courageous and effective leaders are prayer warriors.
