few minutes with you every day walking through the Bible chronologically.

Together, we will explore God's sovereign plan as the events of scripture unfold and point to Jesus.

Tiffany here, welcome back to the podcast.

Our journey through the Gospels continues as we come to the narratives about Jesus's

transfiguration.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke record this event that gives us just a taste of Christ's glory and helps us further realize just how much

he sacrificed on our behalf to leave the glory of heaven, take on flesh, and come to earth to save sinners.

As these chapters begin, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John

to the highest point of a mountain in the region of Galilee.

And it is there that he trans figures before them.

Matthew says that he shines like the sun in radiant majesty, and Mark and Luke state that his clothes were dazzling white.

This glorious description is seen throughout scripture to describe God the Father and God the Son.

As we studied in the Old Testament, both Isaiah and Ezekiel

had visions of the Lord where he shone as bright white light.

And later, in the New Testament,

we will read about Jesus' radiant appearance

to Paul on the road to Damascus

and the Apostle John's vision of the revelation. Here on the Mount of

Transfiguration, Peter, James and John get a small glimpse of Christ's glory.
