Today, we will continue our study on Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath.

The Apostle John taught us much yesterday as we looked at chapter 5, and today we journey

to Matthew, Mark, and Luke to read their accounts concerning the Lord of the Sabbath.

Mark and Luke will also share more about the 12 disciples and the plotting Pharisees.

Through each narrative, we will clearly see that Jesus is filled with wisdom and has authority

over everything that occurs in heaven and on earth.

Just like John chapter 5 from yesterday, our narrative in Matthew, Mark, and Luke begins

with Jesus and His disciples breaking the Sabbath, according to the Pharisees.

The Pharisees and Sadducees had added many legalistic stipulations to the law over the years,

and Jesus and His disciples were breaking many of them as they walked through a field,
