0:32.9	In chapters 7 and 8, we will study the various conversations Jesus had with his family, the
0:38.9	Jewish people, and the religious authorities.
0:42.5	Jesus faces opposition from each of these groups in various ways, as we will see today.
0:49.1	But his answer each and every time is to bring glory to the Father, remind them that
0:54.2	he and the Father are true, and that only belief in the Messiah leads to eternal life.
1:02.2	As chapter 7 begins, we read an interesting exchange between Jesus and his brothers.
1:09.2	These men were his half-brothers, the sons of Mary and Joseph.
1:14.6	They likely included James and Jude, the authors of two epistles in the New Testament.
1:21.6	But during Jesus' earthly ministry and before these brothers believed and acknowledged Jesus
1:27.0	as their Savior, they didn't fully understand what Jesus came to the earth to do, nor who
1:34.0	he truly was.
1:36.0	As the Festival of Boots or Shelters approached, they wanted Jesus to go and prove himself
1:42.2	to the crowds in Jerusalem.
