Today we continue our walk through the book of Job.

Yesterday we read the first part of Job's response to Elifaz and today we will finish that

response and hear from Job's second friend, Bill Dad.

In chapter 7, Job's response to Elifaz continues in the same hopeless vein.

He speaks of life being a trial and filled with strife and he details some of the physical

conditions he's experiencing such as insomnia and a recurring skin condition.

If that wasn't enough, he ponders the futility of life and the uncertainty of the afterlife.

In verse 11, Job shifts his speech to speak directly to God.

His misery is so great that he asks God to leave him alone.

He clearly believes God is punishing him.

Though we as readers know that isn't the case, Job was singled out because of his integrity.
