0:44.2	how the big story of the Bible includes the themes of creation, fall, redemption and restoration.
0:51.8	As we study Genesis 4 through 7 today, we see just how quickly the world fell into sinful
0:58.8	patterns.
1:00.4	Genesis 4 recounts the procreation of mankind as Adam and Eve had their first children,
1:07.2	Cain and Abel.
1:09.4	Cain became a farmer and Abel became a shepherd.
1:13.3	Each gave an offering to the Lord but Scripture tells us that Cain simply presented some of
1:18.6	his crop while Abel gave the firstborn as well as the fat portions.
1:25.1	Their offerings to the Lord were an indication of their heart toward him.
1:30.0	When Abel's offering was looked upon favorably by God and Cain's was not, Cain was angry.
1:37.9	God warned Cain that sin was crouching at his door if he did not choose what was right.
1:44.0	As we read, we see that sin overtook Cain and he killed his own brother.
