Yesterday, we looked at creation in the fall in chapters 1 through 3 and we talked about

Genesis 4 recounts the procreation of mankind as Adam and Eve had their first children,

Cain became a farmer and Abel became a shepherd.

Each gave an offering to the Lord but Scripture tells us that Cain simply presented some of

his crop while Abel gave the firstborn as well as the fat portions.

Their offerings to the Lord were an indication of their heart toward him.

When Abel's offering was looked upon favorably by God and Cain's was not, Cain was angry.
