0:50.4	So let's get started with Genesis 22.
0:54.0	This is a rather well-known text in Genesis and with good reason, we could spend a great
0:59.6	deal of time on this chapter alone, but let's hit the high points and see how once again
1:05.3	Jesus is found even here in the book of Genesis.
1:08.8	We're told in the first verse that God tested Abraham.
1:14.5	It's important that we realize that this test was not to create faith in Abraham, but
1:20.2	to expose the faith he already had.
1:23.2	As we talked about a few days ago, Abraham was on the path of sanctification.
1:28.4	With each passing year, though he stumbled many times, his faith in God grew and he served
1:34.2	the Lord and all he did.
1:36.8	This test shows just how much Abraham's faith had grown.
