Today, we come to some fairly familiar chapters in Exodus 13 through 15, which teach us

much about God's presence and strength.

We will also see God's holiness, which has been an underlying theme throughout Scripture

And we'll begin to take a more prominent role.

God calls His children to be set apart and different from the nations around them.

This began with the instructions and commands for the Passover.

This included who was able to partake in the Statute of Circumcision they were to follow.

God also calls the Israelites to consecrate or dedicate their firstborn child and the

firstborn of their livestock to Him.

This was a memorial to all He had done for the nation through the Passover and now their

deliverance from Egypt.
