This is obscure season two, Frankenstein.

I am your host, your friend, your compatriot, your

compadre, your literary mansplainer in chief Michael Ian Black, happy as

always to be with you as we await.

What are we awaiting?

Well, we are awaiting the voyage.

The voyage to the North Pole. The voyage that our narrator Marlow is embarking a pond. He has just hired a

pond. He has just hired a crew. He's cool in his heels. There in Russia, in gosh, it's either

archangel or archangel. I don't know. A R C. H. Angel.

You'd think arch angel, right?

But then somehow that doesn't sound right.

Archangel sounds right.

Archangel sounds more like a DC comic.

And frankly, you know, this thing reads a little bit like a DC comic.

So far, where I should say DC comics read a little bit like Frankenstein since DC Comics come after

Frankenstein. It's got a little bit of a graphic novelty flare to it. Here you've got a brilliant

brilliant autodidact, Marlow leaving home.

He's wealthy, he's motivated. He is the son of tragedy, which is to say, I think he's an orphan at this point.

And, you know, he's making his way in the world.

I mean, it's a little bit Bruce Wayneish.

And like in a DC comic, or I guess a Marvel comic,
