Season 2 Frankenstein.

I am your host, your friend, your earlover, literary mansplainer in chief and geoginologist,

Michael Ian Black, thrilled, as always, to be with you as we continue on our journey

of horror.

And I was thinking this morning, before I came into the Jill Schwartz Memorial Library

with my steaming cup of English breakfast tea and my stupid little dog squash, I was thinking

to myself, Michael, what is, I'm checking in with myself because feeling a little bit

uncertain about how I was going to proceed today with this recording.

And I have noticed that I have been feeling increasingly uncertain as I begin these recordings

every single time, wondering if I'm doing a good job and thinking what's different this

season as opposed to last season.

And first of all, I guess I was wondering last time whether I was doing a good job also.

So I guess maybe that part hasn't changed.

But what seems to have changed, I think, is as I begin these episodes, time and again,

I just don't know what to discuss, what to talk about as we head into the reading.

And it's because my days, like so many of your days, have become relentlessly monotonous

during this pandemic.

And so from week to week, really, there's not much change.

It's all my schedule.

And yes, I prefer the comedic pronunciation schedule to schedule.

My schedule is pretty much the same every single day.
