we're going back to September 1999. On September 3rd, 1999, hockey great, Mario Lemieux, officially

purchased the Pittsburgh Penguins. This made him the first player in the modern era

to own a team he once played for. Also on that day, there was an 87 vehicle pile-up on the 401

between Windsor and Tilbury, Ontario. Eight people were killed and 45 people were injured. One of the

biggest tragedies to the crash was the McLemore family.

40-year-old Charles McLemore was traveling with his girlfriend, Sheila, his son, 15-year-old Mark

McClamore, and his 14-year-old daughter, Marcia McClomor. They were from Rochester, New York.

In the crash, Charles and Mark were killed nearly instantly. Marcia managed to escape from the car,

but there was a growing fire. Tragically, she became pinned between a sports car and a van. She screamed

and pleaded for help. She shouted that she was only 14 and she was not ready to die. Unfortunately, Marcia couldn't be rescued.

Over 20 years later, people who tried to help her say they are still haunted by her screams.

The only person in their car to survive was Sheila.

She suffered a broken bag and a broken foot in the crash.

The cause of the pile-up was dense fog.
