Hello, once again, Merry Christmas and once again welcome to the comedians playing fantasy Premier League podcast with me, Matt Ford.

Yes, it is indeed in the World Cup, really shaping up at the quarterfinal stage.

Now, we all know what the vast majority of people on the planet were doing Sunday night.

No, we'd been away. We had to drive back. We got home late as a result of my daughter.

Do you know what saved me from any real conflict?

It's the fact that the games are at 7, not 8.

And at 8 o'clock, I might be inclined to think,

if I get my daughter to bed, I can get her down by 8 and then watch the game.

At 7, I think, right, if I run the bath bath for seven and she goes to bed a bit late,

that that eats up any conflict because I'll just be doing that.

Oh, so you're letting her have later nights so that the temptation is reduced.

Exactly.
