I actually had a miscarriage a few years ago. I think it was in 2018. I didn't plan to be pregnant and honestly, had that pregnancy continued, then I probably wouldn't have had an abortion. But I find it really important to talk about because everyone wants to talk about pregnancy and how exciting it is to be pregnant. There's not a lot of conversation about pregnancy lost or stillbirth

or miscarriage and yet those things are extremely common and something that a lot of people go through.

Experiencing that, I'm sure, is both like, oh, I can get pregnant and the extreme heartache and pain and loss.

What has been interesting about that is my own life journey, whatever, my mom's sex positivity, to me, sex is very private.

And I think

for a little while when I first converted Islam, that was a rebound reaction to feelings of

unworthiness as a sexually active woman. What do you mean unworthiness? Um, what's up baby, mama?
