Listen, I'm gonna cut this short today because there's so much going on in the world.

Trump makes you wake up every day and just want to fight.

I just want to say I woke up this morning extremely frustrated, not just as Jason Lee Hollywood unlocked or Jason Lee podcast, but Jason Lee Vice Mayor, because as you know, 45 million Americans are going to lose access to SNAP benefits. So I don't want to clap and just, you know, I don't want to start on a heavy note, but I do want to just keep it real with what I feel right now. I am not somebody that has to worry about food, but when I think about a lot of people who live in food deserts like my community in District 6 and Stockton and lots of your communities around the country who are already trying to figure out every day how to find food and make sure their kids can be fed before they go to school, make sure that when their kids come home from school, there's a healthy snack or some food on the table. When I think about the fact that we pay taxes,

federal taxes, for us to be able to have support in states that needed our state, thank God,

to our leadership in this state that keeps the minds and hearts of people in mind as they make

policy decisions. But the fact that 45 million

Americans are going to go without food is insane. So I've been working with my county, shout

to county supervisor Mario Garda and Assemblywoman Rhodesia Ransom in my area and all of our

elected officials and our staff at each area of the state county and the city to figure

out how to make sure that our constituents that our city knows where they can find available

resources. I just want to say to everybody out there that I'm hoping that you're checking your

local food banks that you're working with your community to find solutions to this madness

and just to the workers,

the federal workers who are still going without a check, we're almost a month into this government

shutdown. And I want to be very clear, this is not a Democrat shutdown. This is a Republican

shutdown, Republican government shutdown. And I'm not saying that to create party destruction or

disruption or whatever you want to call it, but you can call it what you want. It is what it is.

Right now the Republicans have the White House, the Senate and the House. I mean, yeah, right,

the Senate, the House and the White House. And the Supreme Court. So everything going on right

now as it relates to all of the despair that we're seeing, you know, that rests on red shoes. So there's that. But the other thing, too, is when you think about third world countries where people like dictators starve their people to death, don't that kind of seem like what's happening right now? We're like, how can you sleep at night in the people's house that you're destroying
