He's also the co-host of the Truth over Tribe podcast and the co-author (with Keith Simon) of the book Truth Over Tribe: Pledging Allegiance to the Lamb: Not the Donkey or the Elephant. In this live podcast conversation, Patrick and I talk about the problem of evil, various highlights and challenges from the conference, and what it means to live as an exile in Babylon.

Hey, friends. I want to let you know about this year's conversations in the raw. Conversations in

0:04.7

the raw is a discipleship learning experience that follows the exiles and Babylon conference. So

0:09.6

this year at the conference, we're tackling several topics, including women and leadership,

0:13.5

the future of the church, disability on the church, and multi-ethnic perspectives on American

0:18.3

Christianity. So conversations in the raw is an online learning cohort that dives deeper into

0:23.6

these topics following the conference. You can sign up for one or all of the conversations if you

0:28.6

want. And each cohort they'll meet online for about an hour and a half to engage in honest,

0:33.1

curious conversations with a leader and other cohort members. And there's only three meetings. So

0:37.9

it's not like an overwhelming commitment. Everyone who goes through conversations will receive a

0:42.5

certificate. I know that some of you have jobs that encourage you to get like learning

0:46.2

certificates. So you can do that through conversations. Also, also this year we're teaming up with

0:51.7

Denver Seminary and Eternity Bible College to offer a four credit option for conversations in the

0:58.6

raw. I mean, that's crazy, right? For just 500 bucks, you can get three master's level credits

1:04.7

from Denver Seminary or three undergrad credits from Eternity Bible College. You'll have to do extra

1:10.4

work, obviously, but I mean, this is a screaming deal to get credit from an innovative learning

1:15.9

experience. So go to theology and erad.com forward slash conversations to learn more about

1:22.0

conversations in the raw. That's theology in the raw.com forward slash conversations. Think deeply,

1:29.1

love widely through conversations in the raw. Hello, friends. Welcome back to another episode of

1:34.7

theology in the raw. What you are about to listen to is a live. Well, it used to be live. It was

1:39.7

live last week, a live podcast that Patrick Miller and I did at the exiles of Babylon conference.

1:47.5

So yeah, it was on Saturday morning. Patrick came out and we just had pretty much no plan on what

1:54.6

to talk to talk about, but we did a live in front of the audience podcast conversation. We talked
