Summary

Dr. Ryan Tafilowski is an expert in the rise of the Nazi party in Germany 100 years ago and the German church’s response to the movement. It’s here where the concept of Christian nationalism became a divisive issue in the church. Ryan and I talk about the similarities and dissimilarities between German Christian Nationalism and modern American Chrisitan Nationalism. Ryan holds a PhD in systematic theology, a master’s in theology in history from the University of Edinburgh, and a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Colorado Christian University. Tafilowski has served as an adjunct professor in the Division of Christian Thought at Denver Seminary, adjunct professor of theology at Colorado Christian University, and postgraduate instructor in theology and ecclesiastical history at the University of Edinburgh. He serves as the lead pastor at Foothills Fellowship Church in Denver and as Theologian-in-Residence at the Denver Institute for Faith and Work.

0:05.1	Conversations in the raw is a discipleship learning experience that follows the exiles

0:10.0	So this year at the conference, we're tackling several topics, including women in leadership,
0:14.2	the future of the church, disability on the church, and multi-ethnic perspectives on

0:19.5	And so conversations in the raw is an online learning cohort that dives deeper into these topics

0:29.6	But each cohort, they'll meet online for about an hour and a half to engage in honest,
0:33.7	curious conversations with a leader and other cohort members.

0:40.7	Everyone who goes through conversations will receive a certificate.
0:43.9	I know that some of you have jobs that encourage you to get like learning certificates.
0:47.4	So you can do that through conversations.
0:49.8	Also, also this year, we're teaming up with Denver Seminary and Eternity Bible College
0:55.1	to offer a four credit option for conversations in the raw.

1:00.7	For just 500 bucks, you can get three masters level credits from Denver Seminary or three
1:07.2	undergrad credits from Eternity Bible College.
