So let's start with an album that rejuvenated Bob's career

and was also a line in the sand at the start of a run of great albums.

This is 1997's Time Out of Mind.

Time Out of Mind would launch an impressive third act to his career, which would bag him the Grammy

noted as a turning point, the origins of this sea change lie with 1989's album, Oh Mercy. As we

unexciting albums. It showed Bob the path to a successful modern Dylan record, which neither

turned its back on his sound nor reproduced it. The producer orchestrating all of this was
