Hi everyone and welcome to this week's off the bench, the first off the bench of the new season. I'm Sam from

FPL Family. And I'm Andy, FPL Sonaldo. Andy, what a week it's been in FPL. Erlin Harlan punished those who

moved the armband away from him. Phil Foden left many managers feeling a little bit disappointed after

his blank on Friday evening. And in fact, many of the 50-50 calls that managers have been thinking about all season

had massive, massive swings for managers.

How did Game Week 1 treat you?

Hey, Sam, it was certainly an eventful Game Week 1 to say the least.

In total, there were 28 goals, 42 bookings and one red card, of course, giving us a little

taste of what's to be another action-packed and exciting 2023-24 Premier League season.

I'm personally off to a decent start with returns from 7 out of my 11 players.

That's really all you can hope for to get off to a decent start. So I'm looking

forward to the next few game weeks, but certainly lots to discuss today. Yeah, it was a, it was a

really divisive game week, wasn't it? Because I think, like I said in the intro, there were so

many managers who were kind of coming down to those 50-50 decisions, should I go with Gabrielle,

should I go with Salibor? Should I go with Flle? Should I go with Salaure? Should I go with

Foden? Should I go with Madison? Should I go with Bruno? Should I go with Rashford? Those

decisions actually ended up having a big impact on what happened overall because there was a lot

of variance between who got what. I actually had the best game week one I've ever had. Like normally I start

very, very slowly. This time around 10 out of my 11 players returned, only Bruno letting me down.

I end up with 95 points, somehow managing to sit a 15K overall, which I don't pay much attention

to at this point in the

season because so much is going to change between now and the end of game week two even.
