The renowned AIMIN clinic has been at the front line of resources for brain health

and they've been tackling all of your questions about how marijuana affects your brain

and more importantly, how cannabis affects the brain of adolescents.

And since we know that roughly 38% of adolescents have tried marijuana,

it's really important to understand the impact on the adolescent brain and how to support kids

to help discourage them from moving in that direction. Dr. Rebecca Siegel is here with me today.

She just wrote a book called The Brain on Cannabis.

And Dr. Siegel is a psychiatrist at the AIMIN clinic. Dr. Siegel specializes in the assessment

and treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD with a special focus on issues confronting

adolescents. She's also particularly interested in research on the therapeutic effects, risks,

and benefits of cannabis treatment. That's not our focus today because we're focused on

recreational use and its impact and specifically recreational use and dependence in adolescents.
