Welcome to Raising Good Humans. I'm Dr. Lisa Pressman and today is part two of my conversation

0:14.8

with Britt Hoffman on Raising Anti-Races Children. Britt is giving us more on the principles

0:23.0

of Raising Anti-Races Children and we're talking about her book, Raising Anti-Races Children,

0:28.8

a practical parenting guide. If you enjoy this episode, please let me know and I would love

0:34.8

for you to write a review. You can, as always, DM me on At Raising Good Humans podcast and thank you

0:41.0

for being part of this two-part conversation with Britt. I'd love for you to talk through

0:48.7

the five principles in your book because I think that's a good, not starting point because we're

0:56.0

1:38.6

chosen family. It can be of neighbors, friends, it can be of co-workers. It can be the people that

1:44.1

you like but you know what? It's also the people you don't like but your values tie you to one

1:49.4

another and I know that idea of community seems very radical because right now we're so used to

1:55.3

picking and choosing the people that we like and we want to be around instead of really thinking

1:59.9

about what does it mean to be in community with people and at the core of that means is that

2:06.5

each person is an indispensable person in community, right? So just because I don't like someone or

2:13.1

because I don't want to go and have brunch with them doesn't mean that they don't offer value to

2:17.3

community and to me which is really important. So we are constantly modeling for our children
