Hello and welcome to News Roast. I'm Jolly and Rubinstein. I'm Hayden Proust. And News Roast is back. What is

News Roast, Hayden, if no one's ever heard of it? Well, it's a metaphor. It's three courses of

conversation. Is it? It is, yeah. And each week we bring on a new guest who brings the food, which is a good set up when

you're having dinner with people, get them to bring the courses.

And then we sort of masticate and chew over, start to main and dessert, and hopefully

sort of spew out some fecal matter, which may or may not be interesting to our audience. I mean, that's kind of the chat, but the truth is, it's just a device that Hayden and I

use to get in contact with people that we either adore, think are absolutely fantastic,

or just wouldn't hang out with this otherwise.

I mean, which in this case is all three.

So without further ado, we are absolutely over the moon to be joined by political satirist,

presenter, journalist, South London resident, Mark Thomas, who many of you may have grown up

with as we did on the Mary White House experience, on Radio 1, and eventually with the absolutely gobsbacking

Mark Thomas Comedy product,

which Hayed pretty much without him.
