Summary
In this busy world that we live in, is there anything more helpful than a good life hack? We don't think so! This week, the Besties are breaking down LIFE HACKS! Not only are they sharing their personal ways to save time and energy (an annoyance), but ones that YOU suggested as well! Erika and Shay learned so much from your suggestions and are happy to share! From the kitchen to the bedroom, from the apps on your phone to the toothbrush in your shower (wait, what?!), the Besties are sharing so many things that can help keep your days freer from the little tasks that eat up our time.
Siran wrap hack? Thank goodness! Egg whites on sunburn? Yes, it is a thing! Shredding chicken in a mixer? That too! You put Splenda in what?! And would it even be a podcast with these ladies if we didn't talk about meat and cheese? Not only are we hacking our way through life, but we are answering YOUR listener questions and playing an ever entertaining "this or that" game where Shay talks about an epic skiing fall!

| 0:00.0 | Okay. Hey, Erica. It's episode. What number? 104. I don't forget. 104. Okay. In this episode, we have some great, great, great life hacks for you. |
| 0:21.8 | So many fun ones that people submitted. Yeah. Thank you for sending those in. Um, they ranged. I don't know from kitchen to laundry to mom stuff to kid stuff all across the board. Some ways to save you time and hopefully a little energy too. Yeah, and keep you a little bit more organized. Yeah, there were, there were so many really good ones. And none of them were hard. I don't think we read a single life hack in this episode where I thought like, oh, that's not realistic. They were all like very realistic. |
| 0:51.8 | Like I could put, you know, I could push my avocado seed out from the back like that's that's doable. None of them were not doable. Really simple life. Yeah, for sure. And super fun. So we hope you enjoyed today's episode. Yes. Thank you so much. Bye. |
| 1:07.3 | Hey, everyone. I'm Erica and I'm Shay and we're two bestie moms breaking down topics each week here on our podcast. We cover everything from pop culture to travel, motherhood, organization, fitness, fashion, food, and so much more. |
| 1:23.7 | Two best friends just chatting about life and we're so excited. You're here. |
| 1:30.6 | Hey, hey, Erica, how's it going? I mean, we're breaking down life hacks today. No. Okay. So I think some of these, you're probably, I'm not sure what the plan is. Like, Shay has some secret things happening today. And it could very well be like, let's laugh at how |
| 1:46.7 | Erica is not super organized in the life hack. Like that's where I'm thinking this is going. It's okay. I'm here for it. I'm owning it. Listen, it's so we're going to get into the meat of this here in a second, but so many people so many people requested that we talk about our best and favorite |
| 2:05.6 | life hacks, which I think we should take as a compliment because they're assuming we're doing things well that we have all these amazing tips and tricks. |
| 2:15.4 | But when I brought it up, you and I are both kind of like, what are we going to say? I hope that means though that whatever we can others might consider a life hack. It's just how we do things. And there are probably things that you guys listening do that you just do that you don't even realize like, hey, that saves you time. |
| 2:33.4 | Maybe by the end, I will have said something that you were like, okay, I can implement that and you will have said something I can. And then we have a lot of reader content. And hopefully, like, we're going to leave and be like, okay, I can make a few things simpler and more streamlined. |
| 2:47.8 | Yeah, that's the goal for sure. And maybe some clever things to what I've thought about. But before we dive into life hacks, I have a, you know, it's still winter. |
| 2:57.3 | Yeah, it's cold here today. It's so cold in Texas, which I love. The only thing that would make today better is if it wasn't sunny. It's sunny and cold. And I want like gray and cold. Yeah, it's snowing and cold. That would be even better. But it is. It's cold. It was like 30 degrees right now. I know it feels so good outside. Just like winter. So I, okay, we've talked about seasons a lot. I think we both put no, I think we disagree on this. I put winter. Third. You put spring. Third. You put winter. Fourth. Where's winter. Fourth. |
| 3:26.7 | Winterfall. I'm fall summer fall summer winter spring. Me too. Is that not what I said? I think so. We just, I think we just agreed on. Oh, you know, I think we disagreed on the holidays, the holidays. And I think you think summer and fall are close as a first. I do. I do. |
| 3:45.4 | And I think winter and summer are close as a second. Okay, that's it. That's yes. Okay, so I have a little this in that winter for you. Okay, are you ready. |
| 3:54.5 | So Erica, this or that candy canes are peppermint bark. |
| 4:00.6 | I candy cane peppermint is not my favorite flavor. I would say neither. Give me some like a cheesy popcorn. |
| 4:07.5 | It's not Andrew's either. I do enjoy peppermint. No, it's not my thing ice cream or like bark or no, you even offered me peppermint creamer. You know, yeah, it's so good. |
| 4:20.4 | Who doesn't want peppermint creamer in their coffee me. |
| 4:23.7 | Okay, watching this time of year in the winter watching movies or reading books. |
| 4:30.0 | I mean, I would have said just watching movies, but you know, I accidentally am reversing my resolution. I've been reading a little bit at night. |
| 4:39.1 | I mean, I guess kind of both. Maybe we should tell our kids, hey, we don't need to read this year. And maybe they would make this work for me. Yeah, maybe it's the. |
| 4:48.4 | I don't have to do it. You don't need to do it. No one's going to expect you to do it. Make sure like I'll read a book. Maybe granted. I am at like a 1.5 book pace per month, but that's all right. Yes, I would say reading books too. I like watching movies like during Christmas, but in the winter when it's cold and there's a fire and blanket. I want to book. |
