And a number of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited by the Sheffield Documentary Festival

to interview satire's modern doyen private eye editor team captain of

have i got news for you that's right ian hisslop we had a lovely chat about post-truth about

the state of satire and about that bloody general election that happened. So what we've

decided to do is give you a special bonus episode where you're going to hear Ian and I discussing

all manner of madness with a crowd of people clapping and cheering along generally not for me,

but for Ian, who were they were really there to see?

And you know, I had to remind myself of that, because sometimes when you're an ego like me,

you've got to look in the mirror and say, Jolly and this isn't about you.

No one gives a rocks about you being here.

They're here for the Hislop.

Except when we were walking into the theatre, the person who actually ran the theatre,

and I'm talking about the usher,

he was like, oh my God, you're Jolly and Rubinstein.

I was like, yeah, thanks, mate.

And I walked in.

And then Ian walked, he was like, sorry, mate, have you got a ticket?

And I was like, yes, at least the young people know me.
