Well, after two matches against Manchester United in the Premier League, Chelsea and Manchester United seem to be a bit even.

Welcome everybody to the official Chelsea FC podcast. As I mentioned in the intro, we will be joined by heat star Goran Draganch of the Eastern Conference champs.

Might have been NBA champs if you say to healthy during that NBA finals. Goran Draganch is a massive soccer fan, so we're very excited to have him on this podcast.

Man, we've had a lot of Miami heat players on this podcast, Kendrick Nunn. John Crowdy was a part of the commentary booth and now Goran Draganch, so we're very excited about that.

So let's talk about this big matchup that Chelsea had against Manchester United boy, these two matchups, basically two wet part of a matchups between these two teams.

Not much to talk about outside of controversy in match one, it was as Billy Quetta and Harry Mcguire.

Harry Mcguire pulling as Billy Quetta down in the box, everyone kind of agrees that this is an egregious offense in the box, a foul and should have been a penalty.

And now here in matchup to the main talking point is not necessarily the controversy surrounding that one instance, not the call itself, because I think most people agree, okay, maybe Chelsea got away with one.

But it's a remarks from the Manchester United side after this game that's really gotten everybody hot and bothered.

We'll get to that in just one moment, but these two wet part matchups between Chelsea and Manchester United.

I think if you look at the stats, according to expected goals, and I never know what that means, I don't know how you chart that.

Chelsea have been slightly better when you look at the statistics between these two matchups, but when you're a counter attacking side like Manchester United, sometimes the math can lie to you a bit, especially when Chelsea get going into their bad habits, which is possession sideways,

pass sideways pass, no direct play, and nothing to show for. But Chelsea have been slightly better if you want to do it that way.

Let's talk about the game itself, and where Chelsea may have missed opportunities, obviously, is a rude coming close.

But I think the most interesting part about Chelsea's approach in this game was the lineup.

We anticipated a bit of a rotational squad, and Thomas Tuchel did not disappoint in that respect.

Yeah, it was interesting to see Ben Chilwell have another go at left wing back.

I don't think it was an enormous impression, but I think the most important thing was, kind of, can you do that defensive work while also contributing in the attack?
