I told him, I looked him in the eyes, I said,

It's very strange in some sense that there's so many of you here to listen to a sequence of lectures on the psychological significance of the biblical stories.

Sometimes the objective world and the narrative world touch and the ultimate example of that in principle

is supposed to be Christ.

What is stopping you from embracing the fate of your wife?

Everybody's got their own destiny.

Is it symbolism all the way down or does it have a kind of material historical bedrock? Our world has been transformed by Christ completely utterly. We live in

that world. We live in that story. If we deny the event of the incarnation, then we are undermining

everything that we care about.

If I went back in time with a Panasonic video camera, would the little LCD screen

show a man walk out of that tomb?
