1:30.8 | In Amos, chapter 5, verse 18, we read the phrase, the day of the Lord. |
1:37.1 | That phrase is layered with meaning for us here in Amos, and throughout the rest of the Old Testament. |
1:44.0 | The day of the Lord refers to judgment. |
1:46.9 | But throughout scripture, it has both near and future fulfillment. |
1:51.6 | We will find this phrase when we come to other books like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel, the New Testament, and more. |
