Today, we complete Paul's first letter to Timothy.

As we studied yesterday, Paul's reason for writing Timothy was to exhort him to establish

sound doctrine in his ministry.

This theme continues in the final three chapters, as Paul instructs Timothy in the importance

of pursuing godliness through his conduct and how various groups within the church should

function and be shown honor.

Paul's words inspired by the Holy Spirit transcend time and teach believers the same important

lessons as we establish sound doctrine and pursue godliness.

Yesterday, we ended our time talking about the mystery of godliness.

Christ's incarnation, death, resurrection, and ascension.

Because of this glorious mystery revealed in Christ, the gospel has now gone out to the

nations.
