0:28.6	Tiffany here and today begins our 10-day journey through 1st and 2nd Corinthians.
0:35.0	As we've already studied in Acts, Paul spent a year and a half among the Corinthians
0:40.2	and helped plant the church there.
0:42.8	After being gone for several years, a report about the Corinthians reached Paul while he
0:48.1	was in Ephesus and on his 3rd missionary journey.
0:52.6	Sadly, this report detailed divisions and various sin patterns among the congregation
0:58.8	that needed to be addressed.
1:01.5	As we walk through these letters, Paul shares spirit-led practical teachings that transcend
1:07.4	time in their application to enable believers to live for Christ.
1:12.5	The issues that threatened the Corinthian Church also threaten our churches today because
1:17.5	they stem from sinful hearts in need of our Savior to continually help us grow in holiness.
