| 0:57.4 | which means three months from now. Three moons. We've had three moons. So we see that the Israelites have |
| 1:03.1 | been wandering. It's been three months and they have now arrived at the base of Mount Sinai. |
| 1:08.3 | We know this is God's holy mountain because Moses has been here before. |
| 1:12.3 | This is where he saw the burning bush. And this is clearly a very important piece of land for God. |
| 1:19.1 | I know. Do you think Emma is there today? I hope so. That would be amazing. That would be. |
| 1:24.2 | Okay, so we find that the Israelites have come to the base of this mountain, and we see that God |
| 1:29.8 | has a word for them, and he tells Moses, and in verses four, five, and six, he says, |
| 1:34.7 | you yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I bore you on eagle's wings and brought |
| 1:40.2 | you to myself. Now, therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, |
| 1:45.6 | you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine, and you shall |
| 1:50.9 | be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you should speak. He tells |
| 1:56.4 | Moses to tell them to the people, and we see this beautiful picture of God inviting them in to this covenant. |
| 2:02.9 | And this is going to be a line in the sand where they have a choice to follow and obey God or not. |
| 2:10.1 | And we see that they choose to because this covenant relationship is a will you, we will. |
