Thanks for joining. We are back and Sagan is here. Hey. Sagan, welcome back. Glad to be here. I'm glad you're here. We are continuing the story of Joseph and his brothers,

the big family reunion in Genesis 45. Did you have family reunions growing up?

Actually, we used to have this huge family reunion. I didn't have those. Really? No.

We used to have one. We called it the family hunt. And you go hunting? Yes. Oh, okay. That makes

sense. I was like, why did you just call it?

And we would have so many of our family members and distant family members come down for a

weekend.

And it was the opening of hunting season.

And it was a great time.

How many is so many?

I mean, there's definitely probably, I would feel comfortable saying maybe close to 80 70 wow okay that's probably my family

is going to call me and be like Sagan okay but maybe 50 yeah but there was a lot of us like that's still so many

relatives yeah it was really fun well we get a family reunion in genesis 45 so I'm going to set it up for us

at the end of Genesis 44, Joseph is

dealing with Benjamin and he's hid the cup in the bag and he's trying to get dad to come to Egypt.

He's trying to manipulate them so that dad will come. But then he's overwhelmed. He's overcome by

emotion at the beginning of today's chapter, Genesis 45. He leaves the room, or really he makes, he has all the brothers leave the room and just decides, hey, I've got to show my cards. Cards in the table. I am, like Judah, I am Joseph. I'm the one who your your father's lost is he still alive is he here

and the brothers are just shocked their breath is taken away and as they start discussing though

what's interesting in verse five Joseph says now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves

because you sold me here, which is interesting.

We talked about in the last episode, maybe Judah had this guilt that he didn't want Benjamin
