Thanks for joining. I am in the podcast studio with today's Devo writer, Jackie Michael. Hi, I'm happy to be here.

Jackie, I'm so glad you're here. I know you through your daughter, Faith, because we served at Awaken together. And so I'm excited to get to know you a little bit better. And as we typically do on this podcast, I would just love it if you shared a little bit of your story, how you came to know the Lord, and where are you today?

I'm so excited to do that because God has been consistently good in my life.

Many of you may know, I grew up in India. I came here as a teenager, and Dallas has been my home

for the past 41 years. What brought you to the States? My dad was a retired U.S. Embassy guy

in Delhi, so he took his retirement and brought us to a new future.

His hope was he would give us a new future, both worldly ways, education opportunities, and scripturally, you know, a walk, a deeper walk.

Because, as you know, he could read the time that India was going to just keep getting more and more conservative.

Okay.

Yeah.

So I am Faith's mom.

Yes, you are.

I like saying that.

And better still, I am the daughter of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

That's right. So that is my identity. What else would you like to know about me? When did you

personally place your trust in Jesus? What did that look like? Grew up in a godly home.

Mom was the godly lady. Took us to church, made us be in Sunday school, learn all the Sunday school songs.

But a personal walk and conviction happened as an adolescent and then did water baptism,

accepted the Lord formally.

The walk and the realization and the seriousness of that commitment didn't set in till life started

happening, was arranged marriage, ended up in divorce, some domestic violence, many highs and
