I'm your host Garrett Dirkmontmont and I'm joined by my friend Richard

Ladoot. Hello. And we wanted to continue our conversation about one of the most important

revelations that Joseph Smith ever received. The vision, doctrine and covenant section 76.

We talked an awful lot about the radical nature of it and especially what really sets apart

Latter-day Saints from other Christians and it's not just the idea of an

exaltation. In 1832, Joseph Smith hasn't really received a whole lot of

knowledge about what exaltation is going to consist of. Now,

he'll later receive a lot of it, right? culminating in the King Follett sermon, which we'll cover in some future podcasts.

But the aspect of hell not being an eternal destination for people, that everyone would

eventually, outside of the Sons of Perdition, eventually receive a kingdom of glory,

and that those kingdoms of glory were not just horrific places where you sat around the entire time

suffering because you weren't in the celestial kingdom, but in fact, even the celestial world was a kingdom of bliss

and that Jesus would save everyone except those sons of perdition.

Well, one of the things that we wanted to talk about in this episode is a question that's

often asked, and so I'll turn that over to Richard to go ahead and share it how he usually hears it.
