It's time for "Being John Malkovich"-PT2. If you remember last time, our good buddy and frustrated puppeteer Craig Schwartz started a new job. While in the file room at LesterCorp. he discovered a tiny door. All indications are he's about to go through it...and we're going with him!

This is PART TWO of the "Severed: Origins" breakdown of "Being John Malkovich." It's one of the things cited by Dan Erickson as an inspiration during his creation of "Severance."

When we last left, puppeteer turned file clerk Craig Schwartz. He dropped a file behind a big cabinet in the

Lester Corp long-term file storage area. When he moved the cabinet, he revealed a painted panel. Behind the

panel was a door. It was maybe three feet high and looked very old. The knob was the old cut

glass style. With very little turning, Craig is able to open the door. When the

camera cuts to a view looking back from inside the passage, a deep thrumming can be heard. It

sounds like distant machinery. This sound reminded me a little of what we hear in the Severance

hallways, going to both the break room and the elevator to the testing floor.

If you look at the side walls of the passage, it looks earthen, like it's a tunnel dug into the ground. Craig cautiously pokes a head in. There are some continuity issues here. When we cut to
