I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most, and keeper of the strangest,

spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This tale story club members comes from the imagination of sage from Bloomington.

It might change your perspective on spending time with cute and cuddly canines, aka man's best friends.

It's one I call the fangs of midnight. Sage had always wanted a dog,

but his parents never let him have one. They said they didn't have time to take care of a dog

and that he was too young to take on that level of responsibility. Dogs needed a lot of attention.

What about a hamster, his mom asked. As if, Sage said. But one day, Sage's luck turned around.

Sage was walking home from school and saw a dog outside in the yard of one of his

neighbor's houses. He was mesmerized. The dog was unlike any Sage had ever seen before. It was

small and had a shiny black coat that glistened in the sunlight. But what really caught

Sage's attention were its eyes.

They were a deep blood-red color that seemed to glow.

Sage couldn't resist getting closer to the neighbor's dog.

It was like the dog had transfixed him.

As he approached, the dog bared its teeth. But Sage wasn't afraid. He could sense that the dog

was friendly, despite its scary appearance. And as if to prove him right, the dog licked his hand.

Sage fell in love with the dog instantly. He bravely went and knocked on the

neighbor's door and asked the people who lived there if he could visit and pet it whenever he walked

by, and they said yes. They also told him that the dog's name was midnight. Sage went home and
