Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This animalistic account, Story Club members, might make you stay out of the woods

forever. It's one I call humanimal. Jessica Handy loved staying with her grandmother during the

summer while her parents traveled. This year was a bit different, though. Her grandmother had a new house because her old

one had burned to the ground when some faulty electrical wiring sparked in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, Jessica's grandmother and her cat, Charlie, escaped unharmed. So her grandmother

used the insurance money to buy a new house in a new place at the edge of town next to a large acreed wood.

Jessica was really sad that her grandmother's old house and all the memories that were there

were gone now, but she looked forward to this new place, which looked great from the photos

she'd seen. When she arrived, however, it was another matter. Her grandmother met her and her parents on the porch.

As Jessica's parents said their goodbyes and left, her grandmother, who was usually always smiling

and warm, suddenly grew cold and deadly serious. You stay out of those woods, Jessica. Don't

go anywhere near them. Why? Because of some wild animals or something, Grams?

Don't ask why. Just stay away.

So the first couple of weeks, Jessica did just that.

Mostly hanging out with her grandmother playing games, petting Charlie the cat,

or talking to her friends on the phone when she could get a decent signal.

Her grandmother lived where there wasn't good cell service.

She'd also go into town with her grandma to shop.

There were a few fun-looking shops.
