I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and keeper of the strangest, spookiest tales on Earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This serpentine tale story club members might make you not tangle with large reptiles.

It's one I call where snake, there's snake. Greg and Melissa Giles were exploring a trail in the

Everglades. The Florida sun beat down on them, making their skin and clothes as wet as if it had rained.

Their parents had brought them camping for the weekend.

Mom and Dad had laid down for a nap in the tent, and since they were bored, Greg and Melissa had decided to go on a little nature walk.

Melissa was snapping pictures of insects and birds with her phone.

The entire world of green around them was teeming with life.

I sure hope we don't see a snake, Greg said.

I don't think I can handle that.

Well, I'd love to see a snake.

I could get some seriously cool shots of it.

What if the snake is poisonous?

You'd better post those shots quick before you curl up and die from its venom.

Don't be a jerk. I'm not. I'm just being realistic. Why do you like creepy, crawly stuff like spiders

and snakes anyway? They give my goosebumps the goosebumps. They're just animals, Greg. That's all.

They have the same right to life as we do. Um, if it comes down to me versus a snake, I'm going to choose my life and run the other way.

Oh, relax.
