Hello again, Story Club members.

I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and keeper of the strangest,

spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This subcutaneous tale story club members might make you take a second

look in the mirror and then scream. It's one I call Mr. Gimple the Pimple. Karen Ruthven wasn't

what you'd call a nice girl. She was often vicious to her fellow fifth graders for no reason.

Many couldn't understand why she was such a nasty bit of work because she happened to be one of

the prettiest girls in school. If you had movie star good looks, why would you be mean? Well,

as we know, looks aren't everything and beauty is only skin deep.

And Karen was about to learn that lesson rather painfully.

But before we get into that, here's some of the mean stuff Karen would do.

She'd often talk back to the teacher when he was trying to explain an assignment.

One time, she pushed Becky Adams down when she wasn't looking just because Karen didn't like the color of t-shirt she was wearing. She once bloodied Ryan Sanders nose

with a four-square ball when she accidentally served it to hard one recess out on the

playground. She didn't like the way Ryan always looked at her, which actually wasn't Ryan's

fault as he had this weird gawking problem.

And worst of all, she was mean to the next-door neighbor's Cocker Spaniel, Gretchen, who would often come into the backyard for treats.

Karen would throw things at the poor pooch.

So, when Karen woke up one morning and had a pimple on her face, right under her

nose, she didn't know what to do. The area was red and puffy with a whitehead capping it.

Oh, no. How is this possible? She was only 11 and in the fifth grade. She wouldn't have to worry
