I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and keeper of the strangest, spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This haunting tale story club members might make you stay away from that dark old

house at the end of a lonely country road. It's one I call Fear Lane. If you've been tuning in

regularly, beloved listeners, you've undoubtedly heard various exploits with me,

my excitable friend Willow Yates, and my psychic friend Autumn Nash.

Many times, Autumn has been able to comfort disembodied unrested spirits and convince

them that they were dead and needed to move on to the other side.

However, that's not always possible.

This one house we visited together was so terrifying that even I saw Autumn defeated and more than a little shaken. We've heard of this old

abandoned Victorian house that was on the state line between Yumatilla County, Oregon, and

Walla Walla County, Washington. It had a reputation of being haunted.

Many local kids who dared each other to go into the house ended up fleeing in terror.

The crumbling house was boarded up and had a chain link fence around it. It hadn't been torn down

as it still belonged to the Shuck family, though none of them had lived in it for 40 years.

Apparently, the house, which was built in the early 1900s, had a history of violence.

Many of the Shuck family died in the home either by murder or suicide.

The last of the Shucks left in 1982.

They'd tried to sell the place, but there were no takers.

When they attempted to bulldoze the residence to the ground, all of the equipment stalled.

Once, somebody apparently tried to burn the house down, but it wouldn't catch on fire. It's as if the old
