I'm your host, Garrett Dirkmont, and I'm joined by my co-host, Richard Leduc.

In this podcast, we're going to discuss Darphin Covenant Section 93.

So this section sheds light on a 2,000-year-old question relating to the nature of Jesus Christ.

So, Garrett, what are some of the philosophical or theological issues that Section 93 helps to provide clarity for?

Well, Section 93 is probably one of the most undervalued revelations of Joseph Smith in terms of what it brings to a believer in the restoration, and especially, you know, in terms of how

a Latter-day Saint views it. I mean, I think a Latter-day Saint is well aware that D&C 89 and the

Word of Wisdom is really important. And they certainly have read and they know Doctrine Convin in Section 76,

but I would guess if you ask them to rank the most important doctrinal sections,

for many of them, 93 may not even be on the radar.

Now, you kind of brought up the reason why, at least part of the reason why it's so important,

is that this radical revelation discusses both the nature of God and the nature of Jesus and especially

Jesus's divinity the early church the early Christian church has a real problem and you know I don't

want to sound too terribly trite with this

because the reality is the problem for the early Christian church is Jesus.

Now, you don't get to make a lot of friends on a Christian podcast by saying that Jesus is the

problem.
