Summary
(Originally published January 27, 2022)
We take a close look at the 70+ state grand jury charges against Alex Murdaugh related to alleged fraud and money laundering schemes the attorney used against his own clients.
A barrage of criminal indictments since November 2021 say Alex Murdaugh allegedly stole nearly $9 million from more than a dozen victims over the course of 11 years.
In this episode, one of those reported victims β S.C. Highway Patrol Lt. Tommy Moore β tells how Alex Murdaugh lied and stole from him with a smile on his face, as the trooper dealt with debilitating injuries.
Despite all the claims of stolen money β in many cases, from deceased victims' families β Murdaugh's representatives now say the disgraced attorney has no money left. It all begs the question: what happened to those missing millions?
