Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This gluttonous tale story club members might make you cancel your current meal plans.

Would you like to buy some Blue Jay cookies?

That's what this eight-year-old girl in an official Blue Jay outfit asked Alma Wagoner as she was walking into the supermarket.

Her mom had sent her into the nearby store to pick up a few things to make French

toast, bread, milk, eggs, and syrup. That was almost favorite breakfast, and she couldn't wait.

She loved having a stack of French toast hot off the griddle, drenched in maple syrup while she

sat down and binge-watched cartoons. Best thing ever. We have them all. The Blue J Girl continued. Razzleberry

flufers, maple pecan crunchers, chocoholic benders, creamsicle twisters, you name it. I have

it in mass supply. All of them sounded good, but Alma had her heart set on her mom's

homemade breakfast. Um, let me think about it, Alma said, and I'll get back to you.

The Blue J girl nodded in understanding.

Though Alma was young, she knew when someone was conning her.

She'd heard every excuse there was as to why nobody would buy her cookies.

Alma escaped into the supermarket, grabbed a handbasket, and quickly filled it with all the ingredients on her list to make the scrumptious breakfast.

She could practically taste it on her tongue.

After she brought the full basket up to the cashier and checked out, Alma grabbed her shopping bag and started heading out of the store.

Even though she had an excuse now as to not buy the cookies, as she only had 37 cents

left over and change, Alma still felt a tad guilty for telling a little white lie to the Blue

...
