of the book, Pat Pichorelli is on the line. Pat say hello, everybody, please.

Hi, everybody. You can say more than that. Pat and I have had an interesting past.

Oh, yeah. I can speak to that.

Gianni and I were raised in the same neighborhood in the little Italy section of Manhattan,

which for those of you who aren't aware, is a very cohesive, small area.

Even at its biggest, it was probably five square blocks, and that was about it.

Even though we're in the same age range, I didn't know Gianni when I was a kid.

He was otherwise engaged and he will talk to you about that in future episodes.

But when I grew up, well, I don't know if I ever grew up, when I got older and I got out of the service, I went into the NYPD.

I was a lieutenant and I specialized in organized criminals.

Uh-oh.

Yeah.

So every now and then in my travels, I would run into Gianni in various clubs.

And I didn't approach him and say hello because that wasn't my capacity.

I was there to observe.

And I'm saying, you know, this guy is everywhere.

I go to restaurants uptown.

He's there.

I go to restaurants downtown.
