Summary

For those of us growing up in the 1980s, and our parents as well, The Facts of Life was simply must-see TV. The coming of age story of four girls at a boarding school, under the care of watchful housemother Mrs. Garrett, warmed our hearts and our television screens. Who can forget preppy, glamorous Blair Warner, brought to life for nine seasons by actress Lisa Whelchel? Lisa, a committed Christian from the age of 10, has gone on to have quite the journey over the decades, from marrying (and later divorcing) a pastor, to writing a number of Christian-themed books on family and parenthood. But it was her season on Survivor in 2012 that seems to have sparked a personal growth journey for the ages! Alicia has the details.
