It is great to have you back with us here this evening.

And I've a spooky one for you. An unexpected theme, you might say.

Or at least I would imagine.

This idea only came to me when I began to notice an abundance of calls all containing the

same word in their description.

And that word is, disappear.

So I scraped together a dozen or so of these calls and package them up for you here tonight.

In an episode I'm calling, stories of the vanished, disappearing items, people, and more.

And to kick us off this evening, we begin with a few stories about odd objects in the sky that seemed to vanish right before the witness's eyes.

Hi Derek, so I wanted to call to report something that I've seen in the night sky.

To preface, I work as a nighttime security guard in Hillsborough, Oregon.

And on the morning of June 27th, 2020, at around 3.40 a.m., I saw something in the sky that I couldn't really explain.

I was out on patrol, and I had noticed that there was a meteor shower going on.

So I had looked up in the night sky to observe all the meteors.

And after it had kind of subsided for a little while, I was still looking up at the sky,

and I happened to notice something that I just can't really explain.
