This is your first episode of The Upside. Welcome. If you've any here before we're welcome back today is Wednesday, October 4th. We are recording this at 1022 studios and industrious.

My name is Jeff Dollar and today I am grateful that this studio is done.

We've recorded in here before but there were still things that weren't completely done and this is our very first time recording in our completely done studio. How's it feel?

It's so good that we have because it's just because of who I am. I think it's my career as a producer.

Also, my mom was so buttoned up about stuff and so organized. I think I get it some of that from her. I just love to have backups and extra pieces of equipment and a spare cable.

And so this studio to me was not complete until we had our system in place that would allow us to backup our recording while we're recording it. Not just ours but anybody.

Yeah, we usually do backup recording because what if one thing shuts down in the middle? We don't want anyone to lose audio.

And there have been times where like a piece of equipment a malfunction. So we instead of having to record the show over then we have our backup which is great.

In the 1200 plus episodes of the upside it's probably happened less than half a dozen times. Yeah, which is which is what one half of one tenth of one percent right right something like that.

So it never it never happens but it makes me feel complete and it makes me feel whole and I am.

It's sad that you don't share in my excitement of seeing the backup recording happening while we're doing it.

I do share in your excitement but I will. I'm a little bit frustrated with you today and I'll tell you why in a little bit.

But first you can't do that. You got to say it now. Well, you could say what you're grateful for.

I know, remember when when the web became a thing people were saying, okay, you want to go to HTTP.

Colossal backslash backslash. Yeah. When did we all figure out that they all started that way.

I have no idea. You know, no clue. We've come a long way back in our day.

But how easy is it to like do show prop. You know, we can put a show together in 30 minutes because we have the internet and we can see what's going on all around the world in a matter of seconds.

Thanks to the world wide web or just any question that you have can be at and we sound like such old people or something.

I can't tell you how many times over the past two weeks, I would just Google.
